Hollywood and Disneyland

Hi Everyone!
Yes we had a great trip to SO CAL. We drove straight to Hollywood to see the Walk of the Stars. That was very fun to see so many remembered stars on the 3 blocks of Hollywood. Then we went to Baker and Jenny's to have homemade tacos. We were joined by Rebecca, Mike, Macy and Molly, who are all very cute! Mike was going to China for 10 days and all his girls were going to miss him. It was such a fun day. We got a fantastic phone call from Jordan with the great news about his MCAT scores! I got emotional knowing that Jordan and Amanda's dream will come true. He will be able to do so much good in the world. The next morning we were up and at 'em to go to Disneyland. We had great success there. I think we got on everything?! Well, not everything..But we did get on Indiana Jones, Jungle Ride, Tiki show, Pirates of the Carribean, Splash Mt., River boat ride, Thunder Mt., Storybook Land (my favorite), Space Mt., Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Star Wars and saw the Princess parade. We ate just about everything too. Heehee. The next morning we had bagels with the Bushs' and got a tour of their new house. It is gorgeous! At noon we were off in the car and back to home to watch USC get very scared about ASU and their wonderful defense. It was a great weekend. I wish we could go to Arizona this weekend. Good luck Michael.

Fall is Here!

Guys, I am really getting tired of looking at our family blog and only seeing my dumb lasagna recipe day after day. Let's jump on it and post some interesting stuff. Mom, I know you ugys went to Disneyland last week. Cam, I know. . . I am teaching you when we come home for the baby shower. Jenn. . . I already volunteered your services when we all go home to sit down with Cami and I in the office and teach Cam how to blog away.

Thought I would mention that we just bought our pumpkins yesterday and I was on www.marthstewart.com and I must say she has some great ideas for pumpkin decorating. I want to try the glitter ones. I will let you know and post pics. after I try to make one. Hope everyone is having a fun Fall season. The leaves are changing here in Beautiful Utah and the weather is changing. I love it! I have never loved it as much until now- PREGNANT! I am such a summer girl, but change and seasons are great. Sorry Arizona folks! Someone come and visit us. We can go take fall pics. up at Sundance and party. We miss family!

Veggie Lasagna

So I thought Lasagna was always so hard to make, but I made up a recipe that we loved. I got a few ideas online, but then just experimented as I went.
Ingredients:
9 lasagna shells
2-3 Tbl. Olive Oil
1 jar Prego( chunky with mushrooms)
1 yellow squash
1 zucchini
1-2 Roma tomatoes
3 cups Mozzarella shredded cheese
1 (17 oz) container of Ricotta cheese
salt, pepper, garlic salt, parmess cheese

In a pot boil and cook the noodles. In skillet put olive oil and cut up squash, zucchini, and tomatoes in pan. Cook up and almost fry them. Put temp. down to Medium and pour the jar of Prego on top of veggies. Add s&p and garlic salt. Sprinkle parmes. on top and let simmmer for awhile. In a seperate bowl mix the Ricotta and 1/2 C. of Mozzarella cheese together. After the noodles are cooked layer them in a glass pan ( have them touching). Spread on top of the noodles the Ricotta and cheese, next layer the tomato( prego and veggies) sauce on top, and then mozz cheese. Do these layers until the ingredients are gone. It is so yummy. It is worth a try. Make sure it is Mozz. cheese on top at the end! Bake at 350 for like 20-25 min or until it is golden brown and bubbly. Ohh, we did think that it could be a little more Saucier so you may want to try 1 1/2 jars of the sauce. Really spread it all in and make it dripping with sauce. Good Luck!

Home, Home on the Range!

Hey guys.. just wanted to post some pictures of our weekend home! It was so much fun and so great to be there during conference. There is something special about being with family and listening to all the great talks. President Hinkley is so sweet. Kay was telling me that she was there for the afternoon session, and when the whole choir and congregation sang "We Thank Thee oh God for a Prophet" that there wasn't a dry eye in the house. All the GA's were crying and everything. She said it was one of the most spiritual things she has ever experienced.

We got to meet Mere's new friend. He was really nice, but super quiet I thought. Handsome young boy though! Poor guy came over to watch conference in his church clothes. He even had a tie in the car. It was so cute.

We didn't take many pictures at all while we were there. It was more relaxing then eventful. We stayed home and watched conference all weekend. It was the best weekend Bake and I have had away in sometime. If you guys want to see the pictures from the reunion check Bakes and My blog. I will have them up in the next day or so. Mere waned to take a picture of what she likes to call her "Favorite Pose".. gotta love her!

Mom can you post your roll recipe? And the cinnamon rolls? Thanks! Love you guys!
