From the jungle

I had a great week in my area. My President of the mission came to visit my area for the first time. He took me and my comp and his family out to lunch and then we took him to see out chapel that is actually a house. It was a fun experience. He is actully an acting 70 for the church still, and so he has power.

He then felt like he needed to meet our new members, so he took me and my comp in a taxi to drive around our area. We visited some of our new members, and he like it. He then went back to the hotel, and rested. My Comp, Elder Jones, and I went and got people for a fireside in the church with our pres. We rented a minivan, and we had 27 people in it. On the way to the church, the tire exploded, and so I decided to run down the street to get another van. I hitched a ride by sticking my thumb out, and then got another van to go back and get them. We got 153 people to go to our conference, not bad for a brazilian branch. After the firside President talk with the leaders and the us. At 11:00 pm, we got done. Presidents wife told president she was worried that we were hungry, so we got a taxi and went to dinner. Pizza with President´s family at 11:30 at night. We got home past midnight, and we were exausted!!!! This morning (Wen) we walked to his hotel to have interviews. We got to talk with him, and it was good. We helped carry their luggage, and it was a good trip. I am pretty sure we got spoiled. I also recieved a cell phone so I am not so out of it here in my area. It was a good couple days with president in town, I got a cell, I prob gained 4 pounds, and I am ready to work a lot harder in the work of the Lord. This is the true church family!!! Lets all work hard and do our parts in helping the missionaries. I love you all. I hope you like the Blog from the jungle.
